Mawland adapted a former hotel into the Blue Mountains Hotel School in 1990 – 1991. The $2.5M project specifically involved:

1. adapting hotel rooms into 80 residential rooms;
2. establishing a lecture theatre and demonstration room;
3. construction and fitout  of two new kitchens and restaurants;
4. adaptation of rooms into administration offices;
5. upgrading of services, including cabling, PABX and computer systems; and
6. landscaping.

In 1993, Mawland project managed a $2.5M extension, involving the construction of an additional 44 rooms for student accommodation. In 1995 Mawland project managed the development of a Landscape Masterplan and the subsequent development of additional carparks and the landscaped integration of lecture theatres and offices.
